The design uses 10 x 2 mm neodymium magnets against the valve fasteners. BMW catalogs identify the original separately serviced cover as 64111383499 for E31 840i/840Ci, 850i/850Ci and 850CSi; genuine production ended in 2015 with no documented supersession. Use high-temperature material, secure the magnets, and confirm hose, wiring and bonnet clearance after installation.
