N42 / N46 Camshaft Timing Tool Set

Three-piece service-tool set for BMW N42, N46, and N46T engines: intake camshaft lock, exhaust camshaft lock, and the creator's strengthened M8-bolt VANOS gear counter-holder. The creator reports using the tools repeatedly and revised the counter-holder for the specified tightening procedure. This is an engine-specific workshop aid, not a substitute for BMW service information: inspect every print before use, follow the applicable repair procedure and torque sequence, and stop if any cracking or deformation is visible.
