About this part

This is an adapter to be used to install a Nexus 7 2013 to the center console of a Toyota86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ. It has been designed using the LHD version center console of the pre facelift model of this car. Status: -printed, installed, fully tested and working Note: -The center console cover´s frame needs to be cut of for some milimeters. The design would have been possible without that, but the panel of the Tablet would sit too deep to use the full screen area for touch commands. So I dicided to go this way. Anyway, the cover is still fitting the OEM headunit with this modification in case you want to go back to the OEM headunit. -I used grey PETG for the covers and didnt perform any further treatment before installation. But it is of course possibe to change the color or surface by painting the covers. The covers can also easily be exchanged to get another color or to install another HU. Instrutions: -recommended material for printing PETG -Print the "cover_*" without supports and a layer height of 0,06mm -Print the "base_*" with the screw holes facing towards the build plate and use supports -For the "base_*" include a print pause at a layer hight of 6mm to insert a M3 hexagon nut into both screw holes. Use a glue stick and apply some glue to the upper side of the inserted nut to help the following layers to stick on it. -Cut the frame of the OEM center console before inserting of the "base_". Use the file "center_console_*" to see how the cutting has to be performed
