About this part

Replacement ashtray insert with space for a switch that disconnects the E46 always-live cigarette-lighter outlet. The creator documents the physical insert, wiring and installed switch. Use an automotive rated switch and protected wiring, retain correct fuse protection, insulate every terminal and confirm the ashtray closes freely.
