The creator documented the repair on a November 1990 730i: print two tabs, transfer the original clip nuts, bond the tabs inside the console and reinstall the ashtray. This is repair geometry rather than a cataloged BMW component, so no parent ashtray or console number is assigned. The creator tested the same interface on an R53 MINI and identified BMW screw cap 16116762417; BMW catalog cross-reference independently confirms that cap across the listed BMW chassis. The printed wrench is not the screw cap itself, so no OEM number is assigned. Use a stiff engineering polymer, hand tools only, and replace rather than reuse any visibly damaged print.

Clip for sunblind holder BMW E38 E39 Printed ABS. Nozzle 0.2, layer height 0.01, speeds 40 - internal, 30 - external. Printing is carried out in two halves, after which it is glued together, processed mechanically and in acetone to give a presentable surface. Update: Few of those broke using PLA 0.8 width, infill 10-25%. I suggest you print with 3 layers width (or more?). I will do a redesign to fix the weak point from printing prescriptive. This is my design for BMW floor mat holder (E36 E46 E38 E39) . Top part fits nice and works like a charm. I would say it even holds better than original one. As for the washer (bottom one) I haven't got it in real life so I've designed whatever I thought was suitable. Tested with PLA. Lay it down to print upside down.
