C3D–01368Pair of reinforcement brackets for fitting a universal T2/T3 cup holder in a BMW E39. The creator reports that it supports McDonald’s drink sizes without smaller cups tipping and accepts PET bottles up to 0.5 litres. Print two brackets in ABS or PETG; PLA can deform in summer cabin heat. After printing, tap M4 threads in the holes, shorten the screws so they sit flush without protruding, and attach the brackets to the cup holder. These replace the unstable sheet-metal clips supplied with the universal holder. Verify dimensions, fastening, and unobstructed operation before regular use.

C3D–01365My E39 Touring was missing one of the clips to hold in the plate bracket (plinth). The previous owner had used silicone to hold the panel on. Unable to live with this I contacted the dealership - who were unable to find the part in their system. Doubting their competence I checked realoem myself and actually couldn't find a part number. So I turned to Fusion360 and whipped these up. I've never designed anything before so please bear with me. I have made two revisions of this thing. **(bmw_plate_plinthe_v3)** The first is a copy of the original - fits snug and locks nicely. - It may be a good idea to use a bit of RTV or Butyl Rubber around the hole to keep water out! **(Nut.stl /Thread.stl)** The second is a threaded option. Allowing you to fit an M8x1.25 nut on the back. This option was created for people who may have corrosion around the hole thus making it too big for the snap in option. Printed these on my CR-10S w/ 99% concentric infill 5 walls and 0.12 layer height @ 35mm/s Hopefully they can be of use to someone else too. Cheers. Apparently fits these models too! C3D–01362Older German cars are notorious for having bad cup holder, the BMW E39's cup holders are some of the worst. Here is what's wrong with the front OEM cup holders: -They are flimsy and weak so cups tip over. -The bottoms are shallow so any cup with more than 2" of drink in it will tip over. -The centre console design tapers backward as it goes up so any long cups tip backward. -The cup holder are located in front of the climate controls, heated seats and parking sensor button, so you cannot access those buttons if there is a cup in the cup holder! -The climate control sensor is locate above the cup holder so hot drinks (e.g. in the winter) turn on the AC, and cold drinks (e.g. in the summer) turn on the heater! So it's not only the OEM design that's bad but also its location. In my design I solved both the design and location problems. I use this cup holder in my car (see image) and it works and looks great: No tipped over cups, no spills or burns, no tempering with the AC temperature, and no blocking of any controls! My cup holder design does not interfere with the stereophonic function of the transmission, so you still get to enjoy changing gears when you want to! Please note that t Creator limits fitment to 1997-2003 left-hand-drive E39 cars with automatic transmission. Verify dimensions against the original part and confirm full operation before regular use.

C3D–01360My BMW E39 was missing some fan grille parts for the rear seats. The CAD drawings have the exact same size as the original parts. So it just depends on how accurate your printer is (I had to sand down some areas). As you can see in the pictures you will also need a small piece of sheet metal that acts as a spring. C3D–01359My BMW E39 wagon (touring) was missing the plastic clips at both sides of the tailgate. These clips hold the plastic side covers in place. Since the original spare parts (BMW part number: left: 51498217213, right:51498217214) are way too expensive, I have decided to print my own ones. The uploaded files contain the right side clips, but you can mirror them in Cura so that you also have the left side ones (see pictures). BMW catalog identifies the black left/right clips from 1996-09 for E39 Touring, including cataloged European/USA and LHD/RHD applications; mirror the supplied right-side model for the left. C3D–01356Very basic blanking plate for the E39 BMW 5 Series rear cup holder. The rear cup holder in my E39 BMW has never closed properly and never clipped in properly and EVERY time someone sits in the rear seat it gets kicked. Odd design by BMW as the cup holder keeps the rear air vents in place so when the cup holder falls out so does the air vent. Printed in blue for prototyping! Second design with holes for 2 USB chargers or cigarette lighter sockets. I used the ones with rubber covers from banggood. The clips are very crude. They need a better design as this panel does not like being removed. Verify dimensions against the original part and confirm full operation before regular use.

C3D–01355These headlamp adjusters are for the BMW E39 series (5-series from 1996 onwards). The originals are made of some material that gets super brittle with age, and pretty much self destruct. Thus making the headlamps aim far too low, and wobble when driving over the slightest dump. BMWs own solution is to supply new lamps as complete units, price probably approaching $1000. To fix, you need to take the headlamp units apart, which is actually quite easy. There are various instructions on the net, The two manual adjusters simply fully unscrew to release. The third adjuster, connected to a motor, is released by turning the exposed 5mm plastic nut 90 degrees (not all variants have this feature). One word of warning: Do not touch the reflectors, they are very easily destroyed by attempts of cleaning. You need one of each of these per side. They will work for the early halogen units, but may need modification for "angel eyes", and I have no idea about Xenon. Note also that the shape is different from the originals. I believe these may be slightly better - the originals were limited by what you could do with casting. For best strength you should ideally print them laying down, but then some s Verify dimensions against the original part and confirm full operation before regular use.

Update: Few of those broke using PLA 0.8 width, infill 10-25%. I suggest you print with 3 layers width (or more?). I will do a redesign to fix the weak point from printing prescriptive. This is my design for BMW floor mat holder (E36 E46 E38 E39) . Top part fits nice and works like a charm. I would say it even holds better than original one. As for the washer (bottom one) I haven't got it in real life so I've designed whatever I thought was suitable. Tested with PLA. Lay it down to print upside down. For now tests are held only in V1 version. Version 1: - Design created. Printed with CURA supports Version 2: - Added supports included in file.
